Dutch Supercar Celebrates the 70th Anniversary of the Brand
If you look for a car that will be equally fast both on the straight road and on corners, then Donkervoort is happy to announce that its latest production models will be more than appealing. In fact, this is the fastest by the brand. The expansion beyond the Dutch 2G production supercar was successful, thanks to the enhancement of shock absorbers created by the company in the past. The latter assisted with updated Nankang AR 1 tyres has reduced the weight of the car steering. The drive is both exciting and pricey. This is quite a decent way of celebrating the brand’s 70th anniversary, isn’t it?

You can choose to push the pedal of JD70 to reach 200km per hour in just 8 seconds among plenty of other extreme activities. From zero to 100 kilometres per hour the car reaches in just 2.7 seconds. The 5-cylinder engine looks stronger at lower revs and at the same time its Co2 emissions are less now – just 191 grams per kilometre. Acceleration is maintained even on high speeds. And it is the consistency that makes this vehicle so exceptional.
Cars nowadays use carbon fibre as their main component. This is also characteristic to the Dutch 2G production supercar – Donkervoort JD70. 95% of the model consists of carbon fibre. Digital cluster carbon fibre seats and improved steering wheel handling give some sort of competition vibes when you are in the driver’s place.
Aerodynamics and the Engine of JD70

Aerodynamics on the Dutch supercar have been well worked out, and the brand has added side exhaust pipes to improve the performance to a level unseen before with the rest of the models by Donkervoort. The back of the car, due to this new exhaust pipes on right and left, has experienced some creative approach. The second diffuser was designed at the rear in the roomy place, which resulted in adding the downforce by 80 kilograms.
Stability is a key component at high speeds and due to this down force enhancement, it is easier to control the supercar. The final look of the airflow is given with the wind tunnel – visible from the front.
Tuning the sides that stretch from front to the rear wheels, additional 50-kilogram down force comes within. Doing louvres at the front must be an extremely rare practice in today’s vehicle producing techniques.

Donkervoort has not been wrong to choose the award-winning turbo engine to fuel up the Dutch supercar with the desired performance. The five-cylinder engine has not been notable just once. International Engine of the Year nomination was received consecutively during the nine years – this is what gives a complete overview of the quality of JD70 by Donkervoort.
The revs per minute range from 1750 to 6350 – without any need to reduce the acceleration. You do not have to change the gear so often now. The aim was to deliver calmer drives. Full throttle system, as well as the Bosch system, are there for you, for shifting up and down. Your reflexes might force you gear shift gears automatically, but you’ll certainly appreciate the effort of the producer. Traction system, custom ABS system by Bosch and the wheels of Nankang AR-1 create a unique aura of performance, combined with Tarox brakes (6-piston).

Finally, the price of the car will make track-focused drivers happy, as all of these advantages can be enjoyed in a nutshell with just 185,000 USD.
