The famous brand Montblanc never stops its amazing outlets of expensive gifts, men’s and women’s style, office items and luxury goods, such as jewels and watches. With their spring releases, the celebration of this year was a significant event of the Aztec culture. The tribute was made with the expensive writing tool release which is the Montblanc Moctezuma Limited Edition. It’s produced in memory of patron of the arts. The instrument’s pop up took place synchronically with the Culture Arts Patronage Award. It has been 30 years already that the event takes place annually and is a major entertainment for the brand’s collectors. The Patron of Art was an influence by the Aztec ruler Moctezuma the First, who lived from 1398 to 1469 – quite a long ago. With Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History’s assistance, it became possible for Montblanc to manufacture 4 specially designed and limited edition writing tools.

The pen that represents the fighting spirit of the Aztec golden age ruler, reminds of one of the oldest weapons used by the tribe that had a name of “atlatl”. The item of battles and hunt was used to target enemies on long distances. The writing tool has colors of carmine and blue. The latter also speak of the Aztec culture influence. The red stone on the cliff of the pen with quetzal feather engravement gives an entertaining look. Aztec knife shape of the hammer-cone on the pen is the finishing touch of Montblanc’s professional dedication to the historical item.
When you think of an 18 karat gold nib, you automatically think of Montblanc’s tribute writing tools that are luxurious enough to be affordable for the high class only. This time the nib is a home to an engraving of a glyph, which is an ode to the current Mexico City. In Aztec times, their capital had the name of “Tenochtitlan”.

Montblanc also found space for its logo depiction in the Aztec Sun disk, where astonishing features of Patron of Art’s limited edition are completely handcrafted.
