Starlink Internet Satellites

Starlink Internet Shows Unbelieveably Fast Connection Speeds Between 50-150Mbps

Starlink internet is Elon Musk’s SpaceX internet provider – an idea which seemed quite futuristic but it is so near already. Other providers share the internet through their geostationary satellites which means they are positioned differently from Starlink in space. Hughes and Galaxy providers, for example located their speedy satellites at 35,000kms from ground, while SpaceX has them reasonably lower in comparison. SpaceX adds the quantity of its internet satellites in the orbit from month to month and as Musk himself confirmed there will be a need of  at least 500 to 800 satellites, before the service comes to satisfy customers.

Starlink Internet Will Use Thousands of Satellites to Keep the Whole World Connected to One Provider

Starting their movement from The Polar orbit, SpaceX internet satellites complete their circles in ninety minutes. In this way you have to disconnect from one side to the other to keep your internet connection stable and this will be done  automatically not to cause much annoyance. All of them stay within the height of 400km to 700km.

Currently the goal of SpaceX is to reach 1440 satellites that will provide ultra fast Starlink internet. Everyday in Washington six of these satellites are built. They have got their approval from the US government and can maximize the number of their satellites up to twelve thousand, in case they all travel within low earth orbit.

Basics to consider are not only the quality of the internet speed but also the connectivity in various weather conditions, as it is not always bright and sunny everywhere in the world. Within the help of laser connection at medium heights of the satellites, there will be worries about rain or clouds, so the company needs to make solutions for stable connectivity.

Seems they have a bit of an overview of how this could happen. By the help of UPC and AGC hardware, almost 95% of connectivity will remain stable, despite the hail and rain.

Starlink Internet Plans Deliver Flashy Download and Upload Times, so that 4K Streaming Will Not be a Problem

Affordable internet plans will let people from all the ends of the world connect with Starlink internet through satellite dishes. According to Musk, these will cost something between 100 to 300 US dollars. There will be different speeds for different internet plans but Starlink internet is way faster than nearly no provider working below the clouds.

The results showed that top connectivity is about 100Mbps – perfect for high quality video streaming with several screens.  Moreover, this will unite international gaming competitions, as well as large audience video conferences. What is more, you will gain access to the internet  while traveling in the air, or enjoying your watercraft time in yachts, regardless of being near the North Pole or in South African countries.

But before Starlink will gain maximum trust, persuading people to switch from their current provider, there is still a long way to go. Since the end of October 2020, Starlink has beta users for testing the performance, though all of those users are located in the United States and Canada. This test in October proved- Viasat and Hughes are falling far behind Starlink, at least  three times. The company aims to get the majority of the world under their reach by the end of 2021.

Starlink internet is not the one who chose to set their services higher in the sky. OneWeb is another choice which aims to launch satellite internet soon in mid-2021. In the upcoming years, similar services will be available through Amazon too.
