Virgin Atlantic’s 747 had many different series released through past decades. Looking at the 747-400 series, you see that these enormous planes are already in demand,as they are in the bestseller list.
One of the latest 747 series is 8-i, which was purchased only by 3 passenger travel corporations: Korean Air, Lufthansa and Air China. The other companies used the plane just to transport cargo. One of them is UPS Airlines.
Boeing 747 production is going to end in 2023 and after that there will be no replacement for parts. However, if you are their customer, the company will serve you for years beyond.
Virgin Atlantic will use another plane for further flights and it is from the legendary Airbus. Those will be A350s. As planes become older, it is preferable to replace them with fresh ones. А330 Neo is another choice that Virgin Atlantic could turn to. Efficiency is the top priority. It is composed of pros as longer airtime and less harmful emissions.
